SAMO worked with Materials & Methods to create site specific projection mapped animations in order transform the Back Bay Events Center into an environment of immersion surrounded by science and innovation for TEDxCambridge Spring 2015. The architecture of the auditorium directed the visual design, providing a sculptural platform that invited the eye to explore the infrastructure and allow opportunities to incorporate multiplicity through form, light and color. Samo also worked with film designer Kyle Predki to transform his speaker videos into an ethereal form that was activated in the space for each speaker.
Within the site specific visual environment, Materials & Methods worked closely with Almighty to incorporate their guest specific social NODE network. NODE was able to connect the guests that attended TEDx Cambridge to further promote conversation and the spreading of new ideas.
The 1200 guests that attended TedxCambridge had the pleasure of experiencing Mal Devisa close out the show, accompanied with performer and space specific visuals by SAMO.
